  16. <p>     Climate and clothing: Light-weight clothing is suitable for
  17. the tropical climate.

  19. <p>     Visas: US citizens require visas. Passports are required.
  20. </p>
  21. <p>     Health: Bandar Seri Begawan is free from most diseases
  22. commonly associated with the Far East. Medical services are
  23. heavily subsidized by the government and are generally free.
  24. </p>
  25. <p>     Telecommunications: Telephone service to the US is available
  26. 24 hours and requires no advance booking. Telegraph service
  27. also is available. Bandar Seri Begawan is 13 hours ahead of
  28. eastern standard time.

  30. <p>     Transportation: Brunei International Airport is some 8 miles
  31. from Bandar Seri Begawan, and daily flights are available to
  32. Singapore from which connections to other international
  33. capitals may be made.

  35. <p>     Tourist attractions: The Sultan 0mar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is
  36. among the most impressive in Southeast Asia. Exhibits relating
  37. to the life of Sir Winston Churchill are featured in the
  38. Churchill Memorial Museum. The Hassanal Bolkiah Aquarium has a
  39. fine collection of tropical marine life displayed in 47 tanks.
  40. The Kampung Air (water village), showpiece of a traditional
  41. form of life is located next to Bandar Seri Begawan.
